Privacy policy

Effective October 23, 2026. nano.md is developed by Siavash Bonakdar / Third Eye Digital Studio.

The Mac app

nano.md does not collect or transmit personal information, document contents, or usage analytics to its developer. It has no account, advertising, tracking SDK, or telemetry. It does not automatically load remote resources from your Markdown documents.

The app reads and writes files you choose through macOS. Documents stay in the locations you choose; any synchronization of those locations is controlled by your own system or storage provider. Your appearance preference is stored locally on your Mac.

Links and feedback

Links you choose to open are handled by your browser. The destination website's privacy practices apply there.

Sending feedback is optional. The feedback page opens your own email service; you review and send the message yourself. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include and use them to respond to your request. Avoid including private document contents unless they are necessary for the support you request.

This website

The website is separate from the Mac app. It records page views and download-link clicks using a randomly generated browser identifier stored in local storage. Events include the page path, referring website hostname, device category, browser timezone, timestamp, and, for download clicks, the release download URL. The tracker omits URL query strings and fragments and does not use cookies.

Cloudflare hosts this website and Supabase stores its analytics events. These providers process network information needed to deliver their services. Email and external websites are handled by their respective providers.
